Russell began serving Cedar Creek UMC in 2022. He and his wife Erin have three young children and one dog. 

 

Pastor Russell attended undergraduate school at Ouachita (Wash-i-taw) Baptist University, and received a Masters of Divinity from Duke Divinity School in 2012. Before being appointed to Cedar Creek, Russell served FUMC San Marcos and FUMC Victoria as an associate pastor. 

 

His hobbies include sports, woodworking, and watching/playing sports.
