The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

The meetings of the Cedar Creek Women are continuing to be busy with various projects. The circles are small, but we try to have projects of interest for everyone.

UMW Evening Circle will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00pm on January 31st, February 28th, and March 28th.  In addition to dinner and a devotional, during the evening meetings, we work on blankets for premature babies at South Austin Hospital.  any of the mothers don't even have a blanket in which to wrap their baby.  We have provided hundreds of simple 24 inch square blankets over the last several years. 

Spring Plant Sale:  The UMW evening circle also coordinates the spring plant sale.  The Plant Sale is coming March 26th!  Start your seedlings, Isolate your Iris, Transplant your Tomatoes, Clip your Clemantis, Dig your Diffenbachia.

United Methodist Women is a mission based organization throughout the Methodist Church.  All female members of the congregation are automatically members and are welcome at all functions.

United Methodist Women to Study Haiti:  The first general meeting of the United Methodist Women of CCUMC will be held on Thursday, February 17th in the Fellowship Hall.  A meal of Haitian food will be served at 7pm, with a program centered on the situation in Haiti and missions in that country following.  All women of the church are invited to attend and learn more about this country that is in today's headlines.

Missions are a central focus of the United Methodist Women.  In 2011, the United Methodist Women of Cedar Creek UMC contributed $2,100 towards local and worldwide missions.
