Trinity Travelers is Chapter 21 of the United Methodist Campers which has chapters in 8 states. Campouts are held each month, and activities include playing games, worshipping at area churches, shopping and eating (ots of eating). Membership is open to anyone who is a believer and who likes to fellowship in the great outdoors with fellow believers. Don't have a "rig"? Not to worry -- come on down for a day or a meal -- we'd love to have you visit! Many of the campgrounds have cabins available for those who want to attend.
Where they've been: Ten “rigs” from the Trinity Travelers met September 10-13 at Sunset Point RV Resort on Lake LBJ near Marble Falls. It was good to see some of the group who had been traveling all summer. We played games, ate at the Bluebonnet Café and The Real New Orleans Style Restaurant and did a lot of visiting. Ed & Roberta shared pictures and stories of their Alaska trip and Ed & Lois Reznicek shared pictures of their European River cruise. There were lots of laughs and a good time was had by all. In October the group will join other members of the National United Methodist Campers from around the state at the All Texas Round-up at Lake Conroe KOA. Our final campout in 2015 will be at Miller Crossing RV Park in Johnson City, November 12- 15. We will pack goodie bags for the Golden Age Assisted Living in Lockhart at our December Christmas party on December 11. Santa will join the group to deliver the goodies to the center’s family Christmas party on December 12.
Where they're going: Our schedule for 2016 is as follows:
January 7-10 Sonny’s RV Park,
February 11-14 Big Chief RV Resort, Burnet
March 10-13 Aggieland RV Resort, Bryan
April 21-25 NUMC National Rally, Gadsen, Alabama
May 12-15 Colorado Landing, La Grange
June 9-12 Miller Crossing, Johnson City
July 7-10 Schulenburg RV Park, Schulenburg
August 11-14 Miller Crossing, Johnson City
September 8-11 Sonny’s RV Park, Lexington

November 10-13 Sunset Point, Marble Falls
We welcome any and all campers, regardless of the size or type of “rig”. Join us for a campout, or just a meal! Whether you are an old hand at camping, or are a novice at rving, we would love to have you visit with us – for a day, an evening or an entire campout. If you would like more information, contact Wagonmaster Ed Laundy at firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
About the Travelers: Almost 10 years ago a small group of enthusiastic campers from CCUMC organized Trinity Travelers, Chapter 21 of National United Methodist Campers. Since then, the group has grown from 5 member families from CCUMC to 28 families from 8 different churches and 5 denominations, with CCUMC still having the largest number of members. Each month we journey to a campground within 100 miles of Bastrop to play, worship, fellowship, sight see and EAT. We have “rigs” of all sizes, and the campgrounds we attend usually have cabins for those without a camper. Campouts are officially Thursday through Sunday morning, but members are free to come and go as their schedules allow. Those remaining on Sunday morning attend a local church before breaking camp.
Trinity Travelers is open to anyone who loves the Lord and who loves to camp! Many of the parks have cabin rentals available, so you don’t even need a “rig” to join us! We love to have visitors come and dine with us!
