  • April 2 – Maundy Thursday Worship Service – 7pm. This worship service recounts the last hours of Christ’s life, with the extinguishing of candles and readings. This is a moving service and if you have never attended a Maundy Thursday service, you will want to experience this.

  • March 29 – Palm Sunday – One Combined Worship service at 10 a.m. The choir will present their Easter Cantata and we will gather together to hear the music and scriptures recounting the story of Christ’s journey to the cross on our behalf. • Getaway - A Women's Retreat:  Women, are you looking for time away from the busyness of life – time to “stop and smell the roses,” as you relax with friends, share laughter and stories, and spend time with God? Join us at our Garden Getaway retreat to experience all this and more! Garden Getaway is a relaxing garden-themed retreat the women of our church are doing together. It includes worship, Bible study, and time for laughter as well as time for quiet reflection. And don’t worry – we won’t make anyone pull weeds! This is a time to walk with God, the Master Gardener.  We will be going to McKinney Roughs again this year. This is an ideal location for a Garden Getaway! The retreat begins with breakfast at 9:00 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday, March 13 & 14 and will end by 4:00 p.m. each days. Registration is $40 per person and covers 4 delicious meals, fun and refreshing activities and all supplies.  Upcoming Activities & Announcement

  • Have You Noticed?  Our CCUMC grounds have been looking groomed! A beautiful lawn does not happen by itself! Join a Lawn Care Team to help keep them beautiful! We are creating more Teams in order to have a once a month rotation. Sign up today! Contact Jim Cole @ 512-985-5980 “The earth is the lord’s and everything in it.” Psalm 24:1.

  • Circle of Support: Recently many of our CCUMC family have experienced setbacks in health, injuries, loss of family members, or changes in circumstances that result in an increased need for support from other church family members. The gals in the Brown Bag Bible Study today have decided to begin a "Circle of Support" ministry. We're going to start with prayer shawls and lap robes but we can see the need to include a casserole ministry, and other support services needed. If you would like to participate in some way, please send me an e-mail or give me a call at 512-718-2436. The more participants we have, the larger the numbers of those to whom we can lend our support. Roberta Laundy

  • Prayer Room Open for Business - It's comforting to know that CCUMC is bathing every ministry in prayer and is specifically asking God to bless those in need of specific prayers. The prayer room is open, for whosoever will, one time or on-going, on Sundays from 8:30-9:00am and Wednesdays from 5:15-5:45pm. Praying for others is one of the nicest things we can do. A big thank you to Melba Conley, who has been diligently leading this effort.
